Kickin' Tilapia Bean Burrito Bowl [Clean]

Servings 1 bowl
Author AZ@...And A Dash of Cinnamon

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown rice cooked
  • 1 tilapia filet
  • 1/4 cup tomatoes diced
  • 3 T black beans
  • 1/2 t lime juice
  • 1 T cheddar cheese/Mexican Cheese blend
  • taco seasoning
  • hot sauce

Instructions

  1. If you do not already have your brown rice cooked, then start by preparing the rice as directed

  2. Heat your grill, george foreman, pan to prepare to cook the fish (I used my george foreman)

  3. Meanwhile, take your tilapia filet and rub taco seasoning over both sides

  4. Place on the grill and cook until it flakes (for my George Foreman ~ 7 minutes)

  5. As that is cooking, and the rice is done drain the rice and place the tomatoes, beans, taco seasoning and hot sauce to taste and cheese in the pot with the rice to heat and mix.

  6. Slice the fish into bite sized pieces once cooked through and mix in with the other bowl ingredients.

  7. Top with lime, eat and enjoy!

Recipe Notes

This recipe is easily expanded to have as many servings as needed!

There are a lot of options to cook the fish. Please let me know if you have questions! I find a George foreman grill is super easy, but you can cook the fish in any way that you would like be that on an actual grill, on a pan, or even in the oven.

The hot sauce and taco seasoning can be to taste which is why I didn't recommend a certain amount. I LOVE hot sauce and douse my food in it, but if that's not for you then no worries! Leave it out. The same with the taco seasoning.
