Grease your waffle iron and pre-heat it
Meanwhile, grind your oatmeal and flax seeds (if whole) and add them to a bowl
Add the rest of your dry ingredients (protein powder, matcha, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and baking powder) to the bowl and mix.
Dice your apple and mix it in with the dry ingredients
Add your liquid tablespoon by tablespoon until all the ingredients are wet and mixed
Scoop out your batter onto the waffle iron and cook
Carefully place on a plate, and top with pure maple syrup if desired!
